Kids Say the Darndest Things

Kids say the darndest things, but I find it especially difficult to refrain from laughing out loud when it happens at church. One Sunday, my youngest son was sitting next to me on the pew when the speaker started to quote a scripture in the New Testament. He prefaced it by saying, "Paul said..." and read the verse. My then ten-year-old son had been studying US History in school. He looked at me quizzically and countered, "Paul did not say that! Paul said, 'The British are coming, the British are coming!'".
